Kuroki Haru & Nomura Shuhei to star in real-life movie version of "Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou"

Kuroki Haru and Nomura Shuhei will be joint leads in the upcoming real-life movie version of popular mystery novel "Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou" by Mikami En which will be released in cinemas next year. Filming began in early October and was wrapped up in early November. Plans for the movie were first made in autumn 2014 before it took 3 years for the project to materialise.

The movie which was directed by Mishima Yukiko, is set in an old bookstore named Biblia Koshoudou where the female boss Shinokawa Shioriko (Kuroki) and her assistant Goura Daisuke (Nomura) will be working together solve mysteries and uncover secrets found in old books. The novel series which has sold more than 6.4 million copies to date, was made into a manga in 2012 followed by the real-life drama adaptation in 2013 starring Gouriki Ayame. This will be the first time that Kuroki and Nomura are working together.

Kuroki commented that she felt the pressure of playing Shioriko who is very popular with fans of the original novel and hopes that her acting and paying attention to the mannerisms of Shioriko will help her get as close to the character as possible. As for her impression of Nomura, she said that he is just like how she saw him on TV and livened up the atmosphere on set.

As for Nomura, he said that there is a similarity between him and Daisuke because they both are not very good at and keen on reading books. As such, he found it easily to fit into the role. With regard to his impression of Kuroki, he said that although she appears as a very quiet person, she is actually quite easy to talk to and it was fun to work with her.
