First-day-screening event of new movie "Ani ni aisaresugite komattemasu"

The first-day-screening event of new movie "Ani ni aisaresugite komattemasu" was held at Marunouchi Picadilly on 30 June which was attended by the director Kawai Hayato and cast members Tsuchiya Tao, Katayose Ryota, Chiba Yuudai, Kusakawa Takuya and Sugino Yosuke. In this movie, Tsuchiya plays the lead character Tachibana Setoka while her elder brother Haruka is played by Katayose and her first  love Serikawa Takamine is played by Chiba. Setoka is a senior high school student who is unpopular with guys and has 12 failed confessions of love to date. Fortunately, she is doted on by her cool elder brother Haruka. One day, Haruka comes to know that his younger sister is actually not related to him by blood but chooses to keep it as a secret. Just then, Setoka's first love Serikawa who is a rich medical intern now and has a malicious tongue, reappears after they've not met for a few years and the two of them become close again. Soon after, Setoka suddenly experiences newfound popularity with several guys and faces the dilemma of who to choose for the first time in her life.

Katayose who is appearing in his first movie to date, said that there were many things which he did not know but thanks to his co-stars and the staff, he had an enjoyable filming. In response, Chiba said that they were glad to be able to witness a memorable movie for Katayose and Tsuchiya congratulated him for the series of firsts and that it was nice having him as her elder brother in the movie.

The director prepared a surprise for Tsuchiya by reading a letter he wrote for her. Kawai mentioned that his first meeting with Tsuchiya was 6 years ago while working on the drama "Suzuki Sensei" and the filming then was an especially unforgettable one. Since then, he has come to regard Tsuchiya as his comrade and expressed his hope to see her grow into an actress who can support the Japanese film industry in future. Upon hearing this, Tsuchiya started crying and expressed her thanks to the director who also said that he was glad to have her play Setoka. Tsuchiya revealed that she always kept doubting herself and whether she was good enough to play Setoka but thankfully, the director and her co-stars gave her a lot of power and encouragement which made her persevere to the end.
