Press conference of WOWOW drama "Henshin"

The press conference for new WOWOW drama "Henshin" was held on 18 July in Tokyo which was attended by the leads Kamiki Ryunosuke and Nikaido Fumi as well as the director Nagata Koto. The drama which will be shown from 27 July,  is based on Higashino Keigo's novel which had sold more than 1.25 million copies to date and features Kamiki as Junichi, a young man who had to go through the world's first brain transplant operation after suffering a serious brain injury during an accident. However, he becomes a changed person after the operation which leads him and his girlfriend Megumi (Nikaido) to try to find out why this has happened.

Kamiki commented that the most important part of his character was not about his changes but the fact that Junichi had no intention of changing and yet he couldn't control himself. As such, he had to keep this in mind while acting in this drama. On the other hand, Nikaido revealed that she had no idea why Megumi was so besotted with Junichi after he had changed drastically even after reading the original novel. However, when she started acting in this drama, she began to understand Megumi's mentality. Although this is the first time Kamiki and Nikaido have worked together, Kamiki said that Nikaido is just one year younger than her but she sometimes feels more like an adult with her maturity. Nikaido also complimented Kamiki for helping her as her senior and felt that the trust they had in each other helped them to work well this time.
